Our Objectives:

  • to focus on prevention - early detection and early diagnosis
  • to raise awareness through education and information
  • to support and encourage the advancement of breast cancer research
  • to encourage self responsibility for breast health - body awareness with a health promotion message
  • to provide a Canadian health promotion framework for a breast health message for all women and for all health care professionals
  • to facilitate a multicultural outreach program for all women and health care professionals
About The Foundation
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is the largest volunteer-led organization raising funds solely for breast cancer research, education, diagnosis and treatment. One of our primary goals is to fight breast cancer through high-quality research. It is only through research that this disease can be eradicated.
The Foundation was established in 1986 by a group of community leaders. Since inception, the Foundation has awarded in excess of $9.6 million for the most advanced and productive breast cancer research and educational initiatives in Canada, both regionally and nationally.
