What is the Weekend to End Breast Cancer?

It’s an incredibly special event. Thousands of women and men will unite for one weekend, September 19-21, 2003, and walk 60 km in a bold display of courage and commitment. It’s a weekend of hope, as we honour lives lost, celebrate survivors, and help bring breast cancer care to those who so desperately need it. One in every nine Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Who has been affected in your life? A mother, sister, daughter, friend? The Weekend to End Breast Cancer is your chance to go the distance in the fight against this disease.

The net proceeds benefit breast cancer research at Princess Margaret Hospital, an international leader in the fight against cancer and the largest institution in Canada devoted to cancer treatment, innovative research, and informative education programs.
